The 32nd season of the English Premier League is set to kick off later in the summer.

This upcoming campaign promises to be just as exciting as previous seasons as 20 teams, including three newly promoted sides, get set to do battle from the 11th of August, 2023, when match day one kicks off.

The Premier League will see the introduction of three new teams in the upcoming season, as they replace Leicester City, Leeds United, and Southampton. The aforementioned teams were relegated to the Championship after respective spells of nine, three, and eleven years in the top flight.

The newly-promoted teams for the 2023/24 English Premier League season are Burnley FC, Sheffield United, and Luton Town, who will once again rub shoulders with the top echelon of English football, hoping to maintain their Premier League status by season’s end.

Today we will be profiling the three newly promoted EPL sides for the 2023/24 season.

The Clarets have made a swift return to the Premier League after getting relegated at the end of the 2021/2022 campaign.

Burnley achieved this feat by finishing as winners of the 2022/2023 English Championship.

The Vincent Kompany-led side amassed an impressive 101 points in 46 matches to gain promotion back to the EPL.

They also set a record for the earliest time for a team to gain promotion back to the EPL, achieving this feat with seven matches to spare.

Under their Belgian coach, Kompany Burnley has been playing an attractive style of football, which they hope will serve them well in the course of the approaching season.

Vincent Kompany’s implementation of a possession-based, attacking style of play proved to be a game-changer for Burnley. The team secured promotion back to the Premier League with seven matches remaining, setting a new record in the Championship.

Their success continued, as they clinched the Championship title following a 1-0 victory against local rivals Blackburn Rovers.

English midfielder Jack Cork is the current captain of Burnley.

The Turf Moor-based team will be hoping they can continue their fine form in the English top tier and establish themselves as one of the best teams in the league.

The Blades, as they are popularly called, gained promotion back to the Premier League after a two-year hiatus.

The 134-year-old club achieved this by finishing second in the English Championship after securing 91 points from 46 matches.

The Sheffield-based club has had up and down fortunes over the years but will be hoping for more stability heading into the new campaign.

Blades Manager Paul Heckingbottom will be hoping to help his side avoid relegation in this campaign and achieve the needed stability that they lacked in their previous stint in the EPL.

Senegalese forward Iliman Ndiaye was the key player for Sheffield United in the 2022/23 EFL Championship season with 14 goals and 10 assists.

Luton Town

The 138-year-old club is making a triumphant return to top-flight English football after a 31-year absence.

The Hatters achieved their first-ever promotion to the EPL after winning the English Championship playoffs for the 2022/2023 season.

Luton initially finished third in the league with 80 points from 46 games, qualifying them for the playoffs.

Wins over Sunderland and Coventry in the semifinals and finals of the playoffs, respectively, secured their spot for next season in the Premier League.

Luton Town’s promotion to the Premier League marks a significant achievement, as they become the first team to be promoted from non-league (5th tier or lower within the English football league pyramid) to the top flight during the Premier League era.

Additionally, they are the first side to achieve this feat since promotion/relegation within the Football League’s fourth tier was allowed.

Luton Manager Rob Edwards will be hoping to turn their modest 10,000-plus capacity Kenilworth Road home ground into a fortress in the 2023/2024 EPL campaign as they battle against the odds to avoid relegation by season end.

Carlton Morris was the top scorer for Luton Town at the end of the 2022/23 EFL Championship season with 20 goals.
