With the 2022 FIFA World Cup fast approaching, the much anticipated World Cup kits have been released, and some are eye-catching.
This time around, most of the sportswear companies launched their kits later than usual because the World Cup is taking place in November. The first 2022 World Cup kits were launched by Puma in late May 2022. Adidas and Nike followed in August and September 2022, respectively.
The 2022 World Cup kits bring us new jerseys for all teams except Canada, who keep their jersey — probably to focus more on performances on the pitch after their return to the global Mundial for the first time in 36 years.
In total, 9 brands make the kits for the 32 teams. Adidas, Nike, and Puma supply most of the kits (26 of 32 teams). Six smaller brands make the kits of the other six nations.
Here’s our pick of the best World Cup 2022 kits in no particular order.
1. Argentina (Home)
Argentina’s home kit has always been a classic, and it’s not different this time around. Adidas got it absolutely spot on!
The kit of the two-time World Cup winners was inspired from the nation’s historic winning ways.
The shirt features stripes across the top in the country’s traditional white and light blue colour scheme and navy blue accents throughout.
Furthermore, the home kit was embellished with the traditional three black stripes on the shoulders.
2. Croatia (Away)
The away kit of Croatia is absolutely beautiful and undoubtedly one of the best World Cup 2022 kits.
Nike’s Croatia 2022 World Cup away shirt combines a dark navy base with light blue graphic elements and red logos. The official colors of the jersey are “Blackened Blue / University Red.”
The shirt is majestic, with some intriguing blurred checkers fading in and out around the left shoulder.

3. Spain (Away)
While Spain’s home shirt is relatively traditional, the away kit is distinctive and cool. It will be among the standout looks of the tournament.
It carries a bold wavy light blue design that goes down the body of the shirt.
Also, the three stripes on both sides of the sleeve feature red and yellow colours of the Spanish flag.
4. Germany (Home)
Germany’s traditional white home strip now spots a more elegant design, featuring a larger than usual black center stripe that runs down the front.
Germany’s World Cup 2022 kit was designed by Adidas and paid tribute to the nation’s very first shirt.
It also has a gold-coloured badge and Adidas logo. The colours of the German national flag are on the collar tie, which gives the shirt a sleek look.
5. Ecuador (Away)
Ecuador’s World Cup 2022 kit was designed by Marathon Sports — an Ecuadorian sports equipment manufacturing company, and they understood the assignment.
Ecuador’s exquisite away kit comes in a dark navy blue that features a gorgeous geometric tonal pattern and silver badge, and the designer’s name.
It also incorporates a small Ecuadorian tricolor flag emblem on the sleeves.
6. Mexico (Home)
Both Mexico jerseys feature on this list, and with good reason.
The traditional Mexican green home kit is back and in a more aesthetic design. It has red trim on the collar and shoulder stripes and a stunning dark geometric pattern on the upper body.
The zig-zag design on the shirt, made up of intricate lines, represents the feathered headdress of the Aztec deity Quetzalcoatl.
The kit also features Mexico’s brand new team badge, alongside the new Adidas 3-bar logo.
7. Mexico (Away)
Like the home kit, Mexico’s away jersey is lovely and will likely become a classic. It is one of the major contenders for the best kits at the 2022 World Cup.
It is a bold Aztec-inspired design that tells stories of the rich Mexican culture and history.
The inside of the collar has a design that features Quetzalcoat’s serpent body.

8. Japan (Home)
Japan’s vibrant blue home kit is inspired by anime, and the design is bold and recognizable.
It consists of origami patterns on the torso of the shirt that are immediately noticeable. It is inspired by the three-legged crow, which represents speed and the art of Origami.
9. Saudi Arabia (Away)
The Saudi Arabian dark and light green away jersey is quite snazzy and somehow brings back memories of Nigeria’s all-time classic white and green home kit at the 2018 World Cup.
The tonal leaf-like pattern blends dark and light green, with touches of white found in the logos and badges.
10. Belgium (Home)
Belgium arguably has one of the best FIFA World Cup 2022 jerseys.
Adidas’ Belgium 2022 World Cup home shirt has a bold red torso and black raglan sleeves.
However, Belgium’s traditional red and black home jersey was made more vibrant with beautiful flame designs featuring prominently on the sleeves.
