Winning a trophy in football is the pinnacle of achievement for any football club. Competitions like cups and league tournaments are some of the titles on offer for teams to win.
Achieving success in one competition is a noteworthy enough achievement but winning several other tournaments is the stuff of legends. There are a number of competitions and trophies available for football clubs to win.
These typically include their League trophy, domestic Cup, Super Cup, Continental Cup, Continental Super Cup, and the FIFA World Cup.
Today we will be looking at the European football clubs who have won everything. This includes football teams that have won every major club trophy available that they competed in.
1. Bayern Munich
The German club side is one of the most successful clubs in football history.
The Bavarians have won an astounding number of trophies over the years, including a record Bundesliga (32) and DFB-Pokal titles (20).
Continentally and internationally, Bayern has also won 6 UEFA Champions League titles, 1 Europa League, 2 UEFA Super Cups, and 2 FIFA Club World Cup titles.
Bayern Munich and FC are the only two football teams to have won the sextuple (they won six major national and international titles in football within one season).
They achieved that feat in 2009 and 2020, respectively.
2. Juventus
The Old Lady is one of Italy’s biggest and most successful club sides.
Juventus have not just been dominant in the domestic scene but have also won numerous international and continental titles.
Domestically they have clinched the Serie A title a record 36 times in their 124 years of existence.
They have also won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italia a record 14 and 9 times, respectively.
The Turin-based team has also won the UEFA Champions League twice, Europa League 3 times, and UEFA Super Cup 2 times as well.
Internationally, Juventus has also won the Intercontinental Cup, the precursor to the FIFA Club World Cup 2 times over the years.
3. Ajax Amsterdam
The Dutch giants are by far the most successful club in the Netherlands. Ajax are also one of the top clubs that have won everything in club football.
Domestically they have won a record Eredivisie (36) and KNVB Cup titles (20), plus 9 Johan Cruff Shields in their 122-year history.
In Europe, they have won the UEFA Champions League 4 times, UEFA Cup (now Europa League) once, and UEFA Super Cup 2 times.
Internationally, Ajax won the Intercontinental Cup in 1972 and 1995.
4. Manchester United
The Red Devils are one of England’s most successful clubs ever, having won a host of trophies over the years.
The 144-year-old club have been English League champions 20 times, FA Cup winners 12 times, League Cup winners 5 times, and Community Shield winners 21 times.
Continentally, Manchester United has won 3 UEFA Champions League titles, 1 UEFA Europa League, 1 UEFA Super Cup, and 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup
Internationally the Manchester-based club have also won the Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup once each to complete an impressive haul of trophies.
5. Chelsea
Since their inception 117-years-ago, the London-based football club have attracted some of the best footballers in the world.
However, they are also one of the football clubs that have won everything in football.
The English club have won the Premier League (First Division) 6 times, Second Division 2 times, FA Cup 8 times, EFL Cup 5 times, and FA Community Shield 4 times.
In European competitions, they have also excelled tremendously. Chelsea have lifted the UEFA Champions League twice, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup twice, UEFA Europa League twice, and UEFA Super Cup 2 times.
In the international stage, they clinched the FIFA Club World Cup once in 2021. It was when they won this title that they joined the group of football clubs that have won everything.
What about Barcelona and Real Madrid?
Although FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are two of the best soccer teams in the world, they have not won everything. Real Madrid never won the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and Barcelona have never won the UEFA Cup (UEFA Europa League).
