The French midfielder had a very steady debut season for his club Real Betis. The 27-year old was an instant hit at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Fekir was able to contribute 7 goals and assists from 33 matches last season. This helped his team beat the drop as the Verdiblancos finished 15th on the log. The World Cup winner will be hoping for an even better campaign this season.
2. Phillipe Coutinho – Barcelona
The Barcelona attacking midfielder has been impressive this season. The Brazilian scored crucial goals in addition to an number of assists to help propel his team. The Brazilian international had another successful season with Spanish giants Real Madrid. Casemiro was a reliable, steady force for Los Blancos in the middle of the park as they powered to a record 34th La Liga triumph. Apart from his defensive midfield duties, the 28-year old was also influential in the final attacking third of the pitch. Casemiro scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists to earn a place in the 2019/20 La Liga team of the season. This season he’s hoping to carry his team to another La Liga title.
5. Sergio Canales – Real Betis
The Spanish midfielder had one of his best seasons in recent times for his club Real Betis. The diminutive midfielder was in fine form for Betis last term scoring Important goals and a decent number of assists.
