Victor was born in Lagos on Dec 29, 1998, to the Osimhen family. He is from Edo State. He was brought up by his father, Patrick Osimhen, following the death of his mother. He is the last of seven children. Life was not a bed of roses for him before he hit stardom at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He once sold sachets of water in Lagos traffic to help his family. Victor is a striker. He is 6 feet and 1 inch tall with 78kg weight. He is mostly known as Victor Osimhen. He is a member of the Nigeria Super Eagles and plays for Ligue 1 side Lille. He started his career at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria before Wolfsburg signed him on a three-year deal worth £3.15 million on Jan 1, 2017. He also had spells at Charleroi on loan before joining Lille this summer.
He has represented Nigeria at the U-17 level, with which he won the 2015 World Cup. He scored two goals and assisted another one on his international debut at that level on Oct 17, 2015. He had ten goals in seven appearances for the team.
