1. Mike Maignan – Lille OSC
The French international goalkeeper finished the season the highest in terms of clean sheets with 21 clean sheets to help his club Lille OSC finish top of the table, Mike was voted the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 with another solid season. The 25-year-old helped in steadying one of the leagues stingiest defenses with an impressive 55.4% clean sheet ratio. He his arguably one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue 1, and has been linked with a move to a top European club.
2. Keylor Navas – PSG
The Costa Rican number one has had a very solid first season in French football. The 34-year-old goalkeeper has been reliable for the champions Paris Saint Germain this season in goal. He has kept 16 clean sheets in 29 appearances, helping the Parisians secure second place in the League. The former Real Madrid keeper also has a league-high clean sheet percentage of 55.2%. His cat-like reflexes, agility, and command has been the bright spot for PSG in their relatively underwhelming campaign.
3. Benjamin Lecomte – Monaco
Another top goalkeeper in the Ligue 1 this season is Benjamin Lecomte. The Monaco goalkeeper was simply remarkable throughout the entire season. He had an impressive 13 clean sheets in 28 Ligue 1 matches last season. That’s a clean sheet average of 46.4%. He helped Monaco secure a UEFA Champions League playoff spot for next season.
4. Benoît Costil – FC Girondins Bordeaux
The French international has been ever-present this season for his side FC Girondins Bordeaux. The 33-year-old kept an impressive 14 clean sheets in 38 matches together with an amazing number if saves, in the league. These stand out performances were very crucial in helping his club finish 12th on the table in this league campaign.
5. Anthony Lopes – Olympique Lyon
The Portuguese goalkeeper was very good for Les Gones last season. The 30-year-old kept a solid 11 clean sheets in 38 Ligue 1 appearances, that is an impressive clean sheet percentage of 28.9%. Anthony Lopes’ performances were very instrumental in his club, finishing 4th in the league and qualifying for a Europa League spot.
