Umbro, a sportswear manufacturing company famous for its double diamond logo, has been in existence since 1924. The company is an English company based in Manchester but marketed in over 100 countries.

Brothers Harold and Wallace Humphreys founded the business, which was named Umbro as a portmanteau of “um” from Humphreys and “bro” from brothers.

Umbro produces sports products like soccer ball, soccer kits, goalkeeper gloves, boots, sportswear, and rugby kit. However, we’ll be focusing on the teams and clubs Umbro produces kits for in this article.

Here are 15 most popular soccer teams that are sponsored by Umbro.

1. West Ham United

Umbro has been providing kits to London club West Ham United since 2015, and the Hammers will get another one for the 2023/2024 season.

The manufacturing company will celebrate 100 years in production next year, and it may also be an opportunity for more silverware success for the club that won the UEFA Conference League last season in Umbro’s kit.

There were rumors of a switch over to the Swoosh, but that may not happen again for West Ham, at least for now.

2. Stade De Reims

Stade de Reims is a French professional football club based in Reims. The club was established in 1910 and currently play in Ligue 1.

Umbro started kitting French club side Stade De Reims in the 2019/2020 season and signed a then long-term contract till 2024.

The 2023/2024 season kit has already been revealed with the usual wine-like red torso plus white sleeves design for the club.

3. Huddersfield Town

Championship club Huddersfield Town will be kitted by Umbro for next season, but the kit makers have decided to go with a title-winning origin for the 2023/2024 design.

Asides from a bigger blue and white stripes bar, the new jersey differs from last season with its heavy gold details all over in the reckoning of their 1920 league title win.

It will be completed with white shorts and white socks. Huddersfield will be kitted by Umbro till the 2024/2025 season, something that started way back in 2018.

4. D.R Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo were previously kitted by O’Neils, but that duty has been taken off them by Umbro from the 2023/2024 season on a long-term basis.

When Brentford and Umbro signed a kit deal, the club was still in the lower leagues; the deal then was signed in 2019 and expected to terminate in 2023.

It is worth a total of £12M, and now, with Premier League football secured for another season, Umbro has been able to make the club’s only second Premier League home kit, and they have managed to stick to the Red and White stripes only longer this time with a pronounced black gradient towards the tail.

Bournemouth have renewed their stay in the Premier League, they have also replaced Gary O’Neil as their manager, but they have not changed their kit dealer.

Umbro will still do the honor for the 2023/2024 season thanks to the kit deal extension signed in 2021, which will run till 2026.

The Cherries Black and Red stripes will make a return in the 2023/2024 season, and Umbro will add the vital details for the Vitality Stadium-based side.

7. Luton Town

Luton Town signed their last Umbro kit deal as a lower division club, and it was meant to run for four years and fast forward to 2023/2024, and Umbro has another Premier League team to kit.

Up until their last championship game, Luton Town wore an Umbro kit; expect that to continue in 2023/2024 and a possible extension.

Luton Town plays their games at one of the smallest stadiums that the Premier League has seen, but their fairy-tale run from non-league football to the top flight is another story for another day.

8. Santos FC

Far away in Brazil, Umbro and Santos are in a love/hate relationship. Back in 2018, Santos forced Umbro to renegotiate a deal it considered cheap.

Five years later, Umbro and Santos are still together as the manufacturer continues to provide the iconic white kits for the Brazilian club side.

9. FC Lorient

In 2022, Umbro took over the sponsorship of FC Lorient from Kappa. They took on the responsibility for the French side’s kit, and they instantly made a beauty with the 2022/2023 shirt.
