Maja began his career playing in the youth teams of Crystal Palace FC, Fulham FC, and Manchester City FC. He eventually joined Sunderland FC in 2015, from where he graduated to playing for the senior team of the Black Cats. Josh made his professional debut on the 21st of September, 2016.
