1. His full name is Richarlison de Andrade. He was born on the 10 th of May 1997 in Nova Venécia, Brazil. Richarlison was the oldest of five kids. His father was a stonemason, while his mother was a cleaner and ice-cream seller. This means he was born into a life of poverty.

2. He started his football career when he signed up for América Mineiro’s youth team in 2014. He was then promoted to the first team the following year.

3. Richarlison said that he had been very close to giving up on his footballing career. He was rejected by several teams and spent all his money on a 600-kilometer one-way ticket to
Belo Horizonte for his trial. Nonetheless, he made his professional debut on 4 July 2015 in a 3–1 home win against Mogi Mirim. He came on as a late substitute and scored the last goal of the match.

4. By December 2015, Richarlison signed a five-year contract with Brazilian Série A club Fluminense. His first year until the club was successful and he was named in the 2017 Campeonato Carioca team of the season.
