Here are the highest-paid football players in the Dutch Eredivisie.
1. Steven Bergwijn – €88,000 weekly
Bergwijn is a winger with Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam.
The 25-year-old joined the Eredivisie champions for a league transfer record of €31.25m in the summer of 2022 on a 5-year contract.
The Dutch international also became the highest earner at Ajax, reportedly receiving €88,000 per week.
Steven has begun to justify the huge wages he’s earning following his quick start to life in the Dutch league.
He has already scored 8 times in 16 league appearances and also scored 2 goals during the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
2. Dušan Tadić – €67,000 weekly
The experienced Serbian forward has been with Ajax now for about 4 seasons.
Dušan Tadić has been one of the Dutch giants’ most reliable players since he joined them in 2018.
The 34-year-old has found the back of the net an impressive 69 times in 141 appearances in the Eredivisie. No wonder the forward is one of the highest-paid players at Ajax.
In 2021, The forward signed a new contract with Ajax that extended his stay at the club to 2024.
Dušan is said to collect around €67,000 weekly, making him the second highest-paid player with the former European Champions.

3. Davy Klaassen – €62,000 weekly
Davy Klaassen began his club career with Ajax and progressed to become captain of the club.
However, he left Ajax to join Everton before a brief stint at Werder Bremen.
But in 2020, Klaassen returned to Ajax with a transfer fee that could increase to €14 million.
The hardworking midfielder has been one of the main stalwarts at the club and pockets a decent weekly earning.
With his two combined stints, The 29-year-old has made close to 200 league appearances for Ajax.
4. Steven Berghuis – €57,000 weekly
The 31-year-old forward has spent most of his career in the Netherlands and is currently one of the highest-paid players in the Netherlands.
After spending a few years with Feyenoord, Ajax secured the signature of Steven Berghuis in July 2021.
The move generated a lot of controversy in the Netherlands due to the two teams being rivals.
However, maybe the financial incentive was part of the reason Berghuis opted to join Ajax, as he is one of the highest earners in the league currently.
5. Francisco Conceição – €50,000 weekly
Francisco Conceição is the son of former Portuguese footballer and current FC Porto manager Sérgio Conceição.
After impressing at FC Porto, the youngster joined Ajax on a five-year deal in July 2022.
The forward is reportedly one of the best-paid players in the Dutch Eredivisie, with an estimated €50,000 per week wage.
6. Ki-Jana Hoever – €48,000 weekly
Hoever is a centre-back and occasional right-back with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
He joined the Red and Whites in 2022 on a season-long loan from English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ki-Jana has so far featured in 4 league games for the Eredivisie side.
The 20-year-old is reported to earn approximately €48,000 weekly, the highest at the Eindhoven-based club.
7. Ibrahim Sangaré – €46,000 weekly
Sangaré is an Ivorian defensive midfielder currently playing for PSV.
In 2020 the 24-year-old signed for the Eindhoven on a 5-year deal that would fetch him €46,000 weekly.
Ibrahim has so far played in 70 league games for the Eredivisie giants and also scored 7 times.
During his time with the Ivory Coast international, he won the KNVB Cup in 2022.
