All Premier League Players At The AFCON 2021
The 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) is scheduled to will kick off in in January. The tournament will be held between the 9th of January to the 6th of February 2022.
It was initially scheduled to take place between June/July of 2021 but was postponed due to unfavourable climate.
Under FIFA rules, clubs are obliged to release players for international duty. With the AFCON coming up in the middle of the season, club sides (especially European clubs) will be affected by the unavailability of their African players.
Players are expected to be released in December to prepare for the competition.
In this article, TOP SOCCER BLOG brings you the list of players that will be at the AFCON from each Premier league side. However, this is also a possible list of Premier League players going to the AFCON 2022. The African countries have not named their squad, so it’s not confirmed.
39 players from 16 Premier league teams will be at the 2022 AFCON.
